Our English-Speaking Community Continues to Grow
For many years, HABS Queer Basel’s English-speaking expat gatherings have provided a welcoming space for connection, friendship, and community building. What started as a small initiative has grown into a successful and well-established format that brings together a diverse group of participants from Basel’s international LGBTQIA+ community.
Men+ Expat Group
The Men+ Expat Group meets every second Friday and has become a valued community space for gay, bisexual, trans, and other men-aligned queer people. Through regular social gatherings, the group has helped many newcomers and long-term residents build friendships, exchange experiences, and create a sense of belonging in Basel.
The Men+ Expat Group remains an important and vibrant part of HABS Queer Basel’s activities and continues to welcome new participants.
NEW
All Queers Expat Group
As HABS Queer Basel continues to grow and our community becomes increasingly diverse, we are excited to expand our English-speaking offerings.
Starting on 30 September 2026, we are launching our new All Queers Expat Group, a space open to queer people of all gender identities, gender expressions, and sexual orientations.
The new format aims to create additional opportunities for connection among international LGBTQIA+ community members and reflects the diversity of our growing community. Whether you are new to Basel, new to Switzerland, or simply looking to meet other queer people in an inclusive and welcoming environment, the All Queers Expat Group is for you.
We look forward to welcoming both new and familiar faces.
